ECS Horse Transport and Horsebox Hire are only the second company in the UK to use the Theault horseboxes as our fleet. Our personal and professional background in the equestrian world and international horse transport gives us the added advantage of understanding what is best for the horses’ welfare in transit and also the rules and regulations of transporting. By using the Theault fleet we are providing our customers with the most advanced 3.5tonne, 2 stall horseboxes in Europe today.
Theault boxes are built on a Renault Master chassis which makes them very easy to drive and operate, the horses travel rear facing which has been proven to be the most effective way of travelling when all their weight is on their haunches and not on one side as when travelling herringbone. Side loading with adjustable partitions they can easily take 2 16.2hh horses with plenty of space to travel in comfort.

Buying and maintaining a horsebox is rising yearly, not only the fuel costs but basics like the insurance and road tax is never going to get any cheaper. Repair and maintenance can often be costly especially on an older vehicle and finding the right company to maintain the lorry can sometimes be fraught with difficulty.
By hiring one of our vehicles you don’t have to worry about any of that, all our fleet are regularly serviced and maintained, taxed and insured and covered by a national breakdown company in the unlikely event that anything should happen whilst it is in your care.
Our fleet are WATO 2008 (Welfare of Animals in Transport Order), Euro 4 and LEZ compliant.
